  3. What is WinShade?
  4.  
  5. WinShade is a Windows 95/NT 4 desktop utility that gives you control over your
  6. windows.  With WinShade you can assign various commands to mouse button clicks 
  7. that occur on window title bars.  These commands include minimize, maximize, 
  8. "Rollup/Unroll", "Send to bottom", "Keep on top", and "Maximize Vertically".  The 
  9. "Rollup/Unroll" command allows you to "roll up" the window into its title bar, 
  10. leaving only a thin horizontal window on the desktop.  You can click back on the 
  11. rolled-up window's title bar at any time to restore the window to its previous 
  12. dimensions.  The "Send to bottom" feature allows you to send any window to the 
  13. bottom of the window stack, while the "Keep on top" command will make a window 
  14. stay on top of all the other windows.  WinShade works with almost all top level 
  15. windows, including dialog boxes and maximized windows.  Customizable options 
  16. include the ablity to remove the tray icon, change the way various commands are 
  17. activated, and assign sounds and hot keys.  WinShade comes with a complete help 
  18. system and can easily be installed or removed.

  21. How do I install it?

  23. It is recommended that you run (double click) the supplied setup.bat file to install 
  24. WinShade.  The Control Panel Add/Remove Programs applet will allow you to uninstall 
  25. WinShade at a future date if you wish to do so.  If you have a previous version of 
  26. WinShade, you should install this version over the old version.  However, you must 
  27. first exit any previous version of WinShade before running Setup.bat.
